The Urban Sound Symposium is a conference dedicated to the challenges of sound and noise in urban environments. The main themes are urban sound planning and design, urban sound propagation and control, urban soundscape analysis and noise policy issues. It addresses an interdisciplinary audience of acousticians, architects and planners to discuss scientific findings as well as target-oriented mitigation concepts. The conference aims at fostering the exchange of practitioners and experts from around the globe that are confronted with urban sound in their professional activities.

The Urban Sound Symposium has been held every two years since 2019 and has established itself as a thematically clearly focused event and an ideal opportunity for continuing education and exchange.

The fourth edition is scheduled for the 28-30th April 2025 at Empa in the greater Zürich area. The program includes invited plenary talks by eminent researchers from around the world in a single stream, complemented by poster sessions and a workshop about urban sound quality. We expect more than 100 on-site participants and more than 50 online attendees.

The conference offers the possibility of sponsoring. There is a fixed fee for sponsoring companies of 1500 Euros. In return the company:

• receives one free attendances at the conference,
• the company logo, including a link to the companies web page, is integrated in the conference web page,
• the company logo will also appear on a waiting screen, which will be shown during the conference in breaks and between talks,
• a banner with the company logo can be placed in the reception hall.
